DMCA & Intellectual Property Statement
Katrex Technologies ("we", "our", or "the Developer") deeply respects the intellectual property rights of musical artists, composers, sound recording labels, and content publishers.
My Music (com.katrex.mymusic) operates strictly as a local, offline media player utility. The App DOES NOT host, stream, index, distribute, download, or maintain any audio files, music tracks, or sound recordings on any remote server.
Because My Music merely processes audio files already stored on a user's local device (acting as a neutral tool similar to a hardware MP3 player), the App complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) and applicable intermediary guidelines under the Indian Information Technology Act.
Notice & Takedown Protocol (Email Resolution First)
If you are a copyright owner, music label, publishing representative, or authorized legal agent, and you believe that any material or asset associated with My Music infringes your intellectual property:
WE STRONGLY URGE YOU TO CONTACT US DIRECTLY VIA EMAIL BEFORE LODGING EXTERNAL THIRD-PARTY OR STORE SUSPENSION COMPLAINTS. We take every copyright notice seriously and are fully committed to resolving any legitimate concern promptly and amicably without the need for platform-level escalation.
Upon receiving a bona fide notification, we will review, investigate, and take appropriate corrective action within 24 to 48 business hours.
Information Required in a Valid Infringement Notice
To enable us to identify and address your claim rapidly, please ensure your written notification sent to support@katrex.in contains the following information:
- 1. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (e.g. title of song, album, artist, registration number).
- 2. Identification of the specific material within the app or store listing that is claimed to be infringing, with sufficient detail to allow us to locate it.
- 3. Your full legal name, company/organization name, mailing address, telephone number, and official email address.
- 4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- 5. A statement made under penalty of perjury that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
- 6. A physical or authorized electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized representative.
Investigation & Action Timeframe (24–48 Hours)
Upon receipt of a complete and valid copyright notice at support@katrex.in:
1. Acknowledgment: We will acknowledge receipt of your notice within 24 business hours.
2. Immediate Investigation: Our legal and technical team will immediately inspect the subject matter.
3. Corrective Action: If any infringement is substantiated (such as accidental inclusion of trademarked terms, metadata, promotional imagery, or UI assets), we will remove, replace, or update the affected material within 24 to 48 hours via an immediate app or listing update.
4. Direct Communication: We will confirm the resolution in writing directly to the claimant's email.
Counter-Notification Process
If a user or partner believes that material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, a counter-notification may be submitted to support@katrex.in adhering to statutory counter-notice requirements.
False claims or fraudulent notices sent with intent to disrupt services may result in legal liability under applicable civil laws.
