NurseScout AI ("we", "our", or "the App") is an intelligent clinical workflow companion, nursing study assistant, and healthcare career scouting application developed by Katrex Technologies.
IMPORTANT CLINICAL & MEDICAL DISCLAIMER: NurseScout AI is designed solely for educational, reference, career exploration, and workflow productivity purposes. NurseScout AI is NOT a certified medical device and does NOT provide formal medical diagnoses, clinical treatment plans, or emergency triage advice. Information provided by the App must never substitute for professional clinical judgment, hospital protocols, or direct consultation with licensed medical physicians.
Patient Privacy & Strict No-PHI Policy
NurseScout AI is designed to protect patient confidentiality and comply with healthcare privacy principles:
STRICT NO-PHI POLICY: Users must NEVER input, upload, or transmit any Protected Health Information (PHI) or Personally Identifiable Information (PII) pertaining to real patients (including patient full names, medical record numbers, dates of birth, phone numbers, addresses, social security numbers, or photographs of patients or diagnostic charts).
All clinical queries, NCLEX practice scenarios, and reference checks must be strictly de-identified, generalized, or hypothetical.
Information We Collect
To deliver personalized AI assistance and career scouting tools, NurseScout AI processes limited information provided voluntarily by users:
- Account & Identity: Name, email address, and authentication credentials when registering an account.
- Professional Background (Optional): Nursing role (RN, LPN, NP, CNA, BSN, Nursing Student), clinical specialties (e.g., ICU, ER, Telemetry, Pediatrics), certifications, and preferred job locations for career scouting.
- AI Prompts & Workflow Queries: Questions, study notes, drug calculation checks, and de-identified scenario prompts submitted to the AI assistant.
- Resume & Credential Uploads (Optional): Resumes, CVs, or licensing credentials submitted voluntarily for AI resume review or verified employer matching.
- Technical Diagnostics: Anonymized device model, operating system version, and crash analytics utilized strictly for bug fixing and app stability.
AI Processing & Third-Party LLM Architecture
NurseScout AI leverages advanced AI language models to generate study notes, clinical reference summaries, and career recommendations:
Encrypted Inference: Prompts and queries are transmitted to secure inference APIs using enterprise-grade TLS 1.3 encryption.
Zero Model Training on User Prompts: User prompts and professional career inputs are processed transiently and are NOT used to train public third-party commercial AI models.
Output Verification: Users are reminded that while AI provides high-quality reference material, all pharmacological calculations and clinical information must be independently verified against institutional formularies and medical references.
How We Use Information
Collected information is utilized strictly to provide, maintain, and optimize the NurseScout AI platform:
- To generate personalized clinical study guides, NCLEX review questions, and nursing reference lookups.
- To match nursing professionals with relevant hospital openings, travel nursing contracts, and career opportunities.
- To deliver push alerts for shift reminders, license renewal timelines, and relevant healthcare job postings.
- To detect, prevent, and troubleshoot technical errors, fraud, and security vulnerabilities.
Data Security & Encryption
We implement stringent technological and administrative safeguards to protect your professional information:
Data in Transit: All communications between the mobile application and cloud servers are encrypted using modern HTTPS / TLS 1.3 protocols.
Data at Rest: Account credentials, saved notes, and profile data are protected using AES-256 encryption.
Zero Data Monetization: We do NOT sell, rent, trade, or monetize your personal information or career records to data brokers or third-party advertisers.
Permissions Used
- INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required to communicate securely with NurseScout AI cloud endpoints, authenticate users, and fetch AI responses.
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Optional): Required to deliver shift alerts, continuing education reminders, and career opportunities.
- READ_MEDIA_DOCUMENTS / CAMERA (Optional): Requested only when you choose to upload a resume file, certification document, or profile image.
- No Invasive Tracking: NurseScout AI does NOT access background GPS tracking, phone contacts, microphone, or SMS messages.
Data Retention & Account Deletion Rights
You maintain complete ownership and control over your professional data and account:
Account Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated AI query history, resumes, and saved notes at any time directly through the app settings or by contacting support@katrex.in.
Upon receiving a verified account deletion request, all personal data is permanently purged from our active databases.
Children's Privacy
NurseScout AI is intended solely for adult healthcare professionals, nursing students, and career seekers aged 18 and older.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it immediately.
